parrot, I am saying I like Steely Dan, too. I never thought I would, but at some point along the way I got a greatest hits CD, and I have come to appreciate the music.

You have to remember, I grew up in the heyday of those bands. I saw people like Johnny Winter and Eric Burdon in the small clubs. Hell, saw Brownsville Station (original version of Smokin' in the Boys' Room) and MC5 (Kick out the Jams) in a club called the Speakeasy, right across the street from BR Beach on Stanford.
It was truly a great time to be young.

Cool...I caught many in their "later years". As I tell my teenage boys when they make fun of me for being old, "At least I saw all the cool bands".
