I like it. Seems like a good deal. Never used that reel but I like the rod. I'm sure the reel isn't junk.

I bought one and liked it...think I paid around 180 for it

No way to know without handling the rod. I generally do not like combos. I always feel I can make a better combo on my own. The exception would be Cabela's Fish Eagle series.

The reel is a good one but not sure about the rod

looks like the reel sells for 109 by itself...can always get another rod if i don't care for the one it comes with

Yea & it might be a good rod, see what kind of action it comes in Light, Medium or heavy

hard to beat an Ugly Stick and an Ambassadeur 6000.. I'm not sayin', jus sayin'..
