So did ND but no one is talking about that much anymore.

I never said they didn't. BUT IMO. The final score of the Bama-ND would be something like this....Bama 34 Nd 10.

A final score of an LSU-ND game would be something like 20-17 whoever.

Honest question....

If you were an objective fan in another part of the country, and you watched the Ole Miss and Arkansas games, which are the last two games and should be fresh on the minds of viewers, what would your honest opinion be of LSU football?

I would say they are not great on Defense and inconsistent on Offense, and not a "great" team, and I'm sure if I wasn't from Louisiana I might even look at them and say they weren't very good right now. It isn't about capability, it is about how well they are playing, and LSU isn't very good right now.

That being said, I agree 100% that they need to heal up, rest up, and they will probably be very good in the bowl game and heading into next year.

Only problem is most on here can't and refuse to look at it objectively and say they are not a great team. Good but not great.

They a great amount of talent that is not coached very well.IF I lived in Wyoming.

If I lived in South Bend Indiana, I would MUCH prefer to play LSU than BAMA.

I will agree with this and have been a BIG TIME LSU FAN since 1971.

typically the phrase "isn't very good" is just a nice way of saying "bad". From that perspective you're way off. They're not a great team, but would be favored against all but a few teams in the country. Hopefully the DB-corp will be stronger next year, especially against the zone. The o-line should be much stronger with Faulk moving back in at left tackle.

This board is comical. If you don't blow LSU for every play, you are an idiot or negatiger! LOL.And heaven forbid you criticize a player or coach. Sorry, but the team is not that great .if they were,they would be playing in national championship . Defense has carried this team, and Mett can't feel pressure around him, and can't run. He is a thrower, not a passer.Wr's have made some great catches. His best game was Bama. He is not that great period.face it.the team is good, but could definitely improve. I'll hang up, and laugh at the comments that come my way....

OK. But are they playing as good as the SO-CALLED talent level they should be at this time of year????

Like who???

Bama= NO
Fla=NO
UGA=maybe
Oregon=NO.
ND=PUSH
K-state=no
Oklahoma=no

Hell Texas beat Ole Miss 66-31. again 66-31..........Think about it.

Hell If they were to play A & M they would be a slight underdog.

Wilbon knows ZERO about college football...strictly a pro sports/NBA schill !
He and Kornheiser should admit their ignorance of all things college

I watched every game with my dad this year. He was in the NFL front offices for 31 years. Ran 15 drafts for 4 teams. Could go on and on. He says Mett is not that good. Throws a beautiful looking pass, but not much consistent accuracy. He has never seen an OC/offensive coordinator ever . It does not work. He loves the defense, OL. Says by far, Spencer Ware will be an incredible NFL Rb.

YUP. Cause he can catch the ball out of the backfield and DOESN'T need to be a feature back. IMO he would fit PERFECT with the PATS, But they already have Ridley.

That was an exact point we were speaking of, how we'll Ware catches , how under utilized he is as a receiving RB. Stud can't put it all together.... He is amazed at LSU's talent, and how bad the offensive plays/ play calling is.
