5.06 is plenty fast for a DE. I doubt Sam Montgomery is faster than that even though he was a 4.44 coming out of high school and a 4.65 last year. He put on a bunch of weight and has definitely slowed down. Look for him to be scraping 5.0 at pro day. Now if 5.06 is as much bull shite as Sam's 4.44, then he's too slow for DE. Anyway Heron will probably end up a hybrid DT/DE. I've read that he has a frame to take a lot more weight.
