GTFO. College football is a business. If you want to wear blinders and pretend like it is a world full of lollipops and rainbows...go right ahead.

You take your crimson glasses off. Show me an example where any other major coach has completely contradicted himself in one year for his own benefit. The man has no integrity and he never has... "I have Not talked to the Miami Dolphins"... "I am Not going to be the Alabama Coach"... now this shite. He's established a pattern and his pattern stinks as a role model or as a leader... No Integrity.

Happens all the time in recruiting.

You sound like you could justify just about anything with your line of reasoning.

I'm sure he was applauding Auburn while Cam stuffed it in their arse. "It's all business."

But, Nick is all about the Student Athlete, giving him the tools to be successful in life. Integrity and being a man of his word are important attributes relative to being successful. Haven't you read his book?

Why does any of what he said surprise you? He's straight up business with very little care for anyone's plight unless it somehow benefits him. Type A personality to boot. He will lie and deceive to achieve his goal. I often think of how he will be remembered when its all said and done. "Great coach, but such an evil a-hole"

I am too because your pragmatic argument lacks any tangible references other than your opinion. I offered evidence of a lack of integrity in Saban's past, that ties into his recent statement and challenged you to show me where another Major College coach set a similar precedent... but you can talk about Girl Scouts if it makes you feel better. Your coach lacks integrity, that’s the bottom line.

The fact that you are proud of this part of his character shows a lacking in your own character.

Also, I'm happy that my teams coach will take up whatever position is needed to garner the best result for UA. He's doing what he gets paid to do. Win on the field and put the team in the best position to be successful.

This is obviously the point that is going over your head, and causing a meltdown here. I happen to find it hilarious when you consider he didn't "have to win on his HOME field" to put his team in a position to be successful. In fact, LOSING was the easiest option, and now he's being a hypocrite about it. Having met the man and worked with him, it literally makes me LOL that he would say that.

And I mean that. I really find this funny. Similar to the way I react to a Dave Chapelle skit....

COACH SABAN: For either one of these
teams it’s not really a great scenario. You play
your way into the championship game, which
means you’re the best team in your division,
they’re the best team in their division. They played
their way into the game by a total body of work for
the whole season.

It doesn’t seem quite right. But it is what it
is. I don’t really know what me commenting about
it is going to do to change it. But I don’t feel good
about it for our football team or their football team,
either one.

But it is what it is.

Every coach in America recruits. They all tell little white lies to 17-18 yrs olds. Why do they do that? Are they bad people? Are they suffering from a lack of integrity...or do they know that winning is what keeps them employed?

Eat shite. You don't know me from Adam's housecat. If you think that CFB is a shining beacon of wholesomeness and integrity...I've got some beach property I would like to offer to you.

Supposidly said this in 2003 about Oklahoma not winning their conference but playing for the title. Most say he didn't say this but have heard this before.

No. It actually is not. He is saying and doing what puts his team in the best position to be successful...if that is a shift from another time when something different would be what is best, then he shifts.

The guy is paid to win. He is the head of a 100 million dollar business. I would expect of him to do what any other person in a similar position would do...adapt.

The 2003 comment was proven to be made up but that didn't stop this board from quoting it all day every day the last few weeks of the 2011 regular season when it was obvious Alabama was going to end up #2. This board knew good and da## well Saban didn't make the 2003 comment but people here ran with it anyway.
