The reason the Chic-Fil-A bowl is likely isn't because we had a bad season.

It's because the SEC is so damn deep. 6 teams in the top 10. So sending the #7 team in the country (possibly higher after next week) to Atlanta is just a testament to how good the SEC really is. QUIT YOUR BITCHING.

Agree. People love to say "Notre Dame, Oregon, Kansas State, etc. would lose 2-3 games if they played in the SEC," yet when LSU actually loses 2-3 games, it's unfair that we go to a lesser bowl game because we play in the SEC and we lost to good teams.

Same thing in 2005. It is what it is. I'm holding out for JFF to Orlando. That would get us to Dallas... unless UGA wins the SEC.

Edit: FWIW, I think the SEC schedule, year in and out, is light years ahead of everyone else in difficulty. It seems we love to brag about how tough the SEC is, but if we dont go through winning by 30 ppg, we have the shittiest coach in america. The hypocrisy of this board is confusing.

Don't get too balled up one way or the other on the pecking order indicating which team is the "better SEC" team. The bowls get a lot of say so for sales, travel, tv really from the Cap One bowl through the Chik-Fil-A.

truth. the ones doing the BITCHING are the self proclaimed "realists and the critiquers" who think we should run roughshod over this conference every frickn' year. ya' see, any play that doesn't work to feed their bloated egos was a mistake and proof,to them, that a staff that wins 82% of it's games in the toughest conference in america is substandard. yeah...right.
