He said Terrance Magee, but butchered the spelling of his name, like any rantard would.

He would have done well with the way Oregon used their QBs even before Chip Kelly's offense. But there is a degree of luck involved.

Robert Lane went to Ole Miss because:

1) he was scared to compete with Matt Flynn and Jamarcus Russell

2) he thought he was going to be Cutcliffe's next Manning

Instead he would up being Orgeron's slow TE.

I'll start: Cordarelle Patterson LSU ---> UT.

Um... pretty sure a starting spot, 1,858 all-purpose yards, 10 TDs and what will certainly be a solid draft grade have him regretting his bad decision.

Patterson looked at our offense and UT's offense and even though he is dumb as rocks he could see that was an easy choice.

You're right. Sometimes you think everything has lined up perfectly for you, and then fate takes a turn in the other direction. But, that seems to be the antithesis of this thread.. basically looking at a recruit's decision in the hindsight of what happens.

Magee saw an opportunity to come in and contribute right away with Ridley going pro and no real proven backup returning.

Kelly had already been running the Oregon offense as OC for two years when Shep started college.

Wasn't nearly what it was after he took over as HC though. Did Shep even consider Oregon?

Shep committed to us over a year before NSD and never wavered.

He had offers from just about everyone though and supposedly considered Texas, USC, and Florida some.

Well, he would have had stellar numbers here too. 1800? Probably not, but could have had 1000 yards, a bunch of TD's and would still be playing.

Bowls mean something and the kids want to play them.

If getting noticed by the NFL is objective, guys like him could go anywhere in the country (like Hofstra) and still get noticed.

Mike Davis caught 51 passes for 900 yards and 7 TDs this year. Texas will play in a bowl as good as the one we will play in.

I doubt he has regrets.

So you are assuming Patterson feels this way? After choosing a then 5-7, non-bowling Tennesse team, over National Championship contending LSU? I sincerely doubt he gave/gives a flip about bowl games.

Which is why he left Hutchinson Community College?

Instead came to LSU where he played just about everything but QB after falling for a lie.

that's bull shite. all of it. he might have played qb at a small school but not the big ones. and he was not lied to; he got his shot and just came up short. but, believe what you want to even if it isn't true. by the way, this is an LSU recruiting board so why don't you just run along now.
