Te'o's team has a perfect record, and he played his best games in the biggest games - Michigan, Stanford, Oklahoma, and USC. His defensive stats are better than Woodson's when he won the Heisman. The only difference is Woodson's punt return at the end of the year.
i can see your point about Te'o...being that they had such a special year.

But we are talking about a kid who just waltzed into the SEC in their program's first year in the toughest conference in the country and just fricking put up video games stats.

Look at his stats on the road.

on the road. in the SEC.

A freshman doesn't have to go undefeated in order for him to win the trophy, IMO.

Just break every imaginable offensive record in the SEC, and it's yours. and deservedly so.
