I don't think so - and I hope not because that's so far over what any coach is making that we would just be bidding against ourselves (and that's stupid).

If we're talking about a coach with legit skins on the wall in CFB (obviously Saban fits that description), then I wouldn't mind paying the guy more than anyone else (or raising his salary a bit if he is the highest paid guy now). But if we're talking Chris Petersen from Boise, we could double his salary and he still wouldn't be the highest paid coach in the Big 12. Which I think is fair enough for a guy that has done very well but, ultimately, has not won the big prize (even if it's not really his fault).
