So Ga Tech is playing in the ACC Championship Game against f$u. If Tech loses, they will finish the year with a losing record (6-7).....will they even get invited to a bowl? But if they win the game against Florida State, they automatically go to a BCS bowl

Didn't UCLA go to a bowl last year at 6-7? They lost to Oregon in the title game.

Been saying it for years: there are way too many bowls when teams with losing records are playing in them. I remember years ago, every now and then a team would actually decline an invitation to a bowl, because 6-4 wasn't considered worthy of an invitation (this was back in the 10-game season days). All about the money now. Sad.

UCLA asked for a waiver from the NCAA before the Pac12 title game last year. I assume GT will do something similar.

Why do you dislike more football? Its especially great for sun belt teams that generally wouldn't make a bowl game. If you're so upset that GT will play in a bowl game just don't watch it. Everything but the title game is just an exhibition anyways.

Bowl games have become a joke. With Ohio st, penn st, and UNC ineligible for bowl games I would think there may be some teams with losing records filling spots.

There are 70 trams already bowl eligible, so there are no waivers this year---Tech either wins the ACC and goes to the Orange, or they are at home for the bowl season----sucks to suck, nerds

I'm not mad about the excessive number of bowl games, I just think this auto BCS conference champ crap is a buncha bull. No way Ga Tech/f$u or the big east winner should play in a BCS game. Especially when LSU, A&M, & Bama/Georgia will play in a lesser bowl

They won't be able to since the NCAA changed that rule not allowing teams to ask for a waiver.

that's very unfair to GA Tech... 6-6 without playing in the CCG and they'd be guaranteed a bowl. they don't have a choice whether to play a CCG.

then again it makes it more exciting than usual. win the CCG or no bowl is some pretty high stakes
