Tedford has a couple of good years at Cal, but I don't think anyone views him as a solid hire. If Jones is truly out of the picture (and I'm OK with that, he wasn't my choice anyway), then Tedford might get more consideration.
The AD has been very silent, I suspect he has his guy and is just waiting till after the regular season is over to announce it, but it's just a guess on my part.

UK is stupid for not trying to hire one of the in state coaches purely because they're from rivals
