Because that's the reason all of their players went there in the first place
It's difficult to just up and leave a group of guys that have become like brothers to you. The backlash that they have had to endure as a result of a former coach's despicable actions is unfair to them as players. They went to Penn State to be a part of one of the greatest traditions in college football. By choosing to stay at PSU amidst getting hit with draconian sanctions in no way "endorses a pedophiliac culture," it goes beyond that. It's about sticking with what you started, not quitting when the times get tough. The character of the players that stuck around speaks volumes about them.

I think it speaks more about his character that he left. I dont blame the other players, but who wants to be associated with a culture that covered up that whole situation?
Im glad he left, and he showed more character by accepting what happened and stepping away from that moral clusterfrick they call Penn State.
