nd the talent that has replaced them has been in practice and seen limited game action, some for several years, the talent replacing them is equally as talented if not more so just inexperienced, the talent coming up is better than many of the teams we have faced. It's only an excuse for people looking for excuses

And that lack of in game experience is what leads to playing down to competion. It's what causes you to miss a blitz pick up getting the qb sacked before he can hit an open read. It's what causes you to bite on play action.

It causes you to not follow a back for a screen when you come on a blitz and he gives a chip and realeases to take a screen pass for a touchdown.

Eta: I'm not saying this to pick on the freshman o line line backers or corners I'm saying to illustrate that we have some terrific players who stepped up in a tough situtation that doesn't replace the fact that we thought we not only had talent at those spots but experience. We will next year. I for one am happy with this season and ready to see those guys after a year under their belt.

There is a reason starters start over replacements and that reason is that they are generally judged to be better.

Losing starters during a season that you counted on them weakens your team. If you can't even bring yourself to admit that basic fact, you are only here stir shite up and shouldn't be taken seriously.
