re: AR15 Mag/Round Question

Exactly. Magazines are wear items. USGI magazines are perfectly fine, cheap, and reliable. If one starts messing up, stomp it, trash it, and buy another.

re: AR15 Mag/Round Question

Only thing I have ever heard of people having problems with is the ears on the metal mags. This was after a very long time of the mags being stored full.

42? Why was I not aware of this? When did they come out?

I have no clue. The first time I saw them was yesterday at Academy

re: AR15 Mag/Round Question

Now that I think of it, I hope I didn't mistake a pro-mag for a PMAG. I was in a hurry when I grabbed them and I was excited to see what I thought was a 42 round PMAG. I'll check it when I get home

Don't get rid of the metal mags...just update the internals with a Magpul kit.
