Is there a need to report a black bear sighting?

This weekend, I had the pleasure of seeing both a black bear and a bald eagle. This is the first time I have seen a black bear in the wild. Is there a need to report either sighting to LDWF or are these now common enough to not need reporting?....

I think Black Bears are much more scared of people than other bear types. Then again, I've never encountered this so I'm pretty curious as well.

No. You don't have to.

I think you should though that way the LDWF can track the population. They want to know how the bear are doing.

Bald Eagle breast wrapped in bacon with a jalapeño and cream cheese is hard to beat.

that is kinda what I was thinking...this sighting was outside of the designated corridor, too....
