I'm sure he inherited some money from Rita too. But yeah, there are a lot of plot holes. Hard to avoid with a show like this running this long. I try to look over it so I can enjoy it

I've never thought that Dexter's monetary stuff was a plot hole. He makes at least decent money - several articles suggest that he would make above $60,000 - $80,000 given his experience and his location. He does nothing at all with his money aside from bare necessities and property maintenance. It's reasonable to think that he's been working for something like 10-15 years, so his apartment could be paid off. Harry wasn't poor either - so he could have a sizable inheritance there and another one from Rita. You'd be surprised how far your money can stretch if you only spend on the necessities.

Dexter more recently inherited a house from his real father, plus he has whatever estate Rita left (equity in house?) plus insurance money from her murder, though this latter has never been mentioned AFAIK.

All of Dexter's love interests have been killed, left, etc. Hannah will be the one to stay, IMO.
I think Quinn and LaGuerta die, maybe even Jamie to motivate Batista.

An "I'm in love with you" plot rarely just dies. It was bound to come out at some point.
Okay, so here we go...
Astor is just messed up and annoying as ever (spot on writing)
Deb is more of a basket case than ever.
Hannah is fine but can't be trusted and prime for killing.
LaGuerta is too unwilling to let it go to not find out and die eventually.
Dexter is not following the code.
And thank you, Jamie for wearing a bikini to the beach.
I'll admit, I was blindsided by Isaac being gay.
I'm not sure where the show is taking me, and that's a good thing. I do know that Dexter is a tragic figure, and there just isn't a happily ever after in this type of scenario.
