You said they had to be a team that can play for a national title. That means they are a national title contender. Just because you are in a BCS conference doesn't mean you are a national title contender. That's like saying Kentucky has a better shot at a national title than say Boise State or Lousiania Tech. And you know how many other defensive backs in the last 5 years have a had more than 10 ints in an individual season? Zero. Rahim Moore is the only guy to reach 10, but no player in the country has intercepted more than 10 passes in a single season in the last 5 years other than Amerson. There have been at least 5 linebackers in the last 5 seasons with at least 6 ints. Te'o isn't doing anything spectacular whatsoever. Literally nothing. Absolutely nothing about his numbers or performance say anything remotely close to Most Outstanding Player of the year.
