re: Pros/Cons to getting CHL. Opinions wanted

I got my CHL the first year they were offered in Texas, and one positive that I haven't seen mentioned is that having one has gotten me out of a number of moving violations. I've still gotten a few tickets from local police, but never one from state police or a county sheriff. I'd bet it's saved me more than what it cost to initially qualify and maintain my license.
