There's always a lot of back and worth and as others have mentioned, some of the basic principles remain. Just like the run and shoot. It did not go away. The Giants and even NE run variations of the RNS, they just use TE's and some different formations.
Lining up in the traditional bone would be easier to stop, teams would stack 11 in the box. Hell A&M was stacking 10 in the box against LSU. When LSU had a month to prepare for GT in the Peach Bowl a couple of years ago, we shut it down. You have to disguise things a little better.
