Apparently they are sending out brand new 10th Anniversary Edition xbox's to people who have been with live the longest. Some are getting a free year of Gold. I just got this email.

I have almost completed my 4th year. Got it christmas break during my freshmen year. First game was Halo/Cod4

Was XBL free at some point? I guess I had no reason to get it until Halo 2.
I remember the first game I played on live. Had to work that morning but my roommate had picked up my copy of 2 at the midnight release. I played a free for all on Colossus with maybe 4 other players. That night we brought the crew over for a LAN party. Those didn't last for much longer with live.

Where the hell is my prize? I got an email. It let me register to win the xbox by downloading a gamer pic and I get an extra entry for being an xbox live rewards member, but no gift

The 10 year group is so small that I think most of them get the 360 if their contact info is current. The rest of us have to fight it out for one or two consoles most likely
