i don't think he will be a good college coach.i dont' think you can teach the west coast offense, on that level, in college. it's too complex. and that's what he runs. i don't think he can caoch QB's, and i dono'tt hink he knows how to spot talent/develop it either.
i have said this afew times but to me tony Dungy would be a grand slam NFL hire, plus he seriously connects wtih kids,.. he likes working with young people. plus he's a better defensive mind than saban would ever dream of being.. he built that Tampa Bay defense and developed those players.

People think because he does that pre-draft Quarterback X's and O's show that he's the best X's and O's guy there is. I mean, look at the episode where he had Ryan Mallett... He'll be an instant 14-0 coach going up against all those dumb college coaches.

your message is deeply rooted in reality. fans needing a new coach have no room for reality; they fall in love and are not rational. so the list of coveted coaches are usually the current "hot coaches" and guys like gruden who won a super bowl and is not coaching. gruden had the best situation possible in tampa bay; he truly did win with dungy's players. i think hiring him would be a huge gamble.
