LINK

This isn't an insider link and apologize if it's already been posted.

Talk points:

"This is us," he said. "We're going to line up and make teams defend the run and the pass on the same down and distance." CLM

Still a chance to go to BCS Bowl (not likely)

Wilford possibility of returning for the Arky game.

I've seen been better articles by Laney.

Williford's return is a non-story other than for the depth. Trai has Wally Pipped him.

Agreed. Our OL is young, but have really started meshing better since the loss to Florida. Trai is good and will get better. I like the future of our OL.

those were just 3 topics, not 3 reasons for offensive improvement

Les deserves a fricking award for Frankensteining our o-line this year. 2 Freshman on the right side, turned the #1 LT out of high school into a 1st round draft pick @ LG and has a guy that has never played OT in his life holding his own against the best d-lines in college football.

The main reason for the LSU offensive production is the coaching staff found out it wasn't against the law to use the TE's and RB's in the passing game.Against Ala. we were 8 for 8 for 122 yards or 41% of the passing game to TE's and RB's.( actually 9 for 9 because the TD to Clements nullified by penalty)Made the defense have to try to adjust to more offensive options. The Ala. loss goes to the poor coaching decisions.

Josh D at LT was rated as the 23rd best OT coming out of high school.Watched Josh D at Catholic High of New Iberia. He was one hellava high school tackle.Great young man from excellent family.

Likely, IMO.

Top 4 in the BCS guarantees you a BCS bid.

UGA or Alabama will drop below us after the SECCG and FSU will defeat Florida.

I doubt FSU would leapfrog us if we win out impressively, so a USC defeat of ND would vault us into the #4 spot ahead of a one loss Irish. The pollsters are waiting for an ND loss to drop them.

not to mention he'd played a little LT at LSU already, and would practice there at times (like this past offseason). happy Josh was able to step up and fill in.

why? Faulk should be back. I can't see him having the feet to play LT.

Exactly. Our OL will be deeper next year.

Our running game will continue to improve and Mett will have more time to throw bullets to his WRs.

I expect our offense to finally be what we've been waiting on since before the departure of Perrilloux.

We also get Avery Johnson and a couple more WRs so our passing game will improve due to some taller threats.

Avery, Leslie and Dural will allow OBJ and Jarvis to move inside to the slots and that is going to be a fricking nightmare for defenses next year.

Shits gonna get ugly next year! We're going to need a high powered offense because our DL won't be as dominate.

Our Offense will be on the field more...

LSU
Sept. 21: AUBURN
Sept. 28: at Georgia
Oct. 5: at Mississippi State
Oct. 12: FLORIDA
Oct. 19: at Ole Miss
Nov. 9: at Alabama
Nov. 23: TEXAS A&M
Nov. 30: ARKANSAS

This is why we're gonna need some high scoring O!

Add TCU in there and we'll have the toughest schedule in the country next season! Bring it!
