Other than being Karl's son, what's the story on K.J.? Coming from a 1A school, do you think he redshirts his first year?

yes, he will likely redshirt....he is a freak athlete for a lineman and will probably play center

I think every offensive linemen in this class will probably red shirt. As said before, he will be looked at to play Center probably (either him or Dodd). I guess it's possible if one of them develops quickly at center that they won't RS, but I think Trai Turner will be cross-trained at center to provide depth since we'll be returning 3 starting guards.

This. Likely Malone's spot after Porter leaves IMO.

The only reason Malone would play some next year is if Porter got hurt on an extended basis and we just simply couldnt find a cross-trained replacement for the long run.
Ben Domingue will be the "Backup" OC next year...one of our best walk ons FWIW. Basically a guy who could come in and play a few snaps if Porter got banged up and in blowouts finish out games. He played in 5 games last year and 3 games this year. So he has some limited experience. He is by no means a long term option though if it came down to that.
