Are they just taking the top 4 BCS teams no matter what the conference tie ins are next year or what? What if SEC teams are ranked 1 through 4?

I thought it was going to be a selection committee.

I think that is bad idea myself.

And it won't be until the 2014 season.

Could be, I don't know. If that is true then what is the point of a playoff if it isn't even the top 4 ranked BCS teams though?

Just saw that, and it is a selection committee. What a crock of shite. What the frick is the point of a playoff if it isn't even going to be the top 4 ranked teams? You know they are going to pull conference champion bullshite out.

It's yet to be seen but I highly doubt that's the case. I am fairly confident it will be about having the 4 best teams. Taking last year as an example, LSU, Alabama and Oklahoma St would definitely be in. The question is if they would take #4 Stanford (1 loss to Oregon at home) or #5 Oregon (P12 Champion with 2 losses to LSU and USC).

I'm just saying it will be awful tempting for them to have say Notre Dame ranked #8 or something and have them get in because of their following. Top 4 BCS teams should get in, period. IMO.
