That's the kid from Sam Houston I was referring to, couldn't remember his name.

You'll never get an answer until you refer to it by its proper name.

I'm not sure, but I bet it starts with a corporate sponsor.

Interesting their down to 31 and Broussard is out for the year
I would assume the mid term Barash would be coming now
The walk on pitcher will likely be added to the roster
Maybe Terrance Magee comes out for baseball

I posted an article somewhere in the thread that indicated he was definitely enrolling in January.

This is the last one I couldn't figure out.

Johnson, Strickland, Trent, and Baranik are all at various JCs now. The ones that dropped off the roster between yesterday and today were Powell, Jackson, Rivett, and McClure.

These guys were cut (or left after coach told them weren't going to play) yesterday. The others were already gone.

Right. I listed the guys who were either on last year's roster or who I had seen in the fall.

With reduced roster, fall ball has become nothing more than a tryout

Rivett probably headed to jc so he can play
Powell put up some power #'s in fall but maybe he wanted to play jc for one year and reopen recruitment
Not sure why McClure was ever signed

I remember reading last year that Tanner had to cut like 5 players before the season started.

They currently have over 40 players listed on their fall roster.

the only players that can be added - to play this spring - are hs players, as barash
some of the kids that left were paying their own way & that maybe a factor

Don't always assume kids are "cut". Typically schools have exit meetings with players after the Fall. Some are flat out cut, some are encouraged to go JC but it isn't necessarily a mandate, some are told playing time will be sparse and choose to leave for more playing time, etc. I doubt our staff wanted to lose Powell, but what position did anyone who watched any Fall practices see him actually playing next year? 1st(Katz), Catcher (Ross)? He did have good offensive games but was also inconsistent at the plate. You only have one DH slot - possibilities already include Rhymes, Chinea, McMullen, Sciambra, Laird, Moore.... I'd bet the kid just wants to play ball and is going to land somewhere where that will happen. Jackson wouldn't have seen any playing time. I've heard Rivett had issues...
