We are driving up Thursday; game on Friday; Back to BR on Saturday. When our kids (both LSU students) got their tickets we assumed the game would be in LR, so we debated when we heard it was another 3-4 hours to F'ville, but we heard nice things about the stadium so WTH, decided to go. Got a good hotel room pretty easily and at a good price; bought LSU-section tickets off the Ticket Exchange. 
Probably could have waited to closer to the game to buy our tickets, but it's a plus to sit with other LSU folks, and I think the seats are pretty good (hope so! haha).
