Look at some of the biggest contributors Bama has. Starting RB and WR are from Louisiana. Last year they plucked a 5 star safety from about a 5-iron from LSU's campus. It is all about recruiting. Now Les is a great recruiter, but when you can tell a kid "We have won the National Championship in 3 of the last 4 years," it is kind of hard to compete with that.

I know you didn't say they would win the Title, but I wouldn't want to chance it. As it stands, we still have a legitimate shot at the Rose and Fiesta. But if it means giving up a BCS bowl to guarantee Bama not getting a shot at the Title, I'm doing it.

Can you make an argument for how us winning a BCS bowl game while Bama wins the Title is better for the program?

Well again Bama could lose to Oregon in the championship. We could win the rose bowl on a huge stage with a much improved offense.

Keep in mind we played for the championship last year. That's exactly a shitty run. Look at the recruiting class rankings for next year. Not bad right? We are fine on recruiting. They will pluck some from us as we will them.

But I can't honestly say oh yeah I'd rather play in the chicken bowl with Bama in sugar as opposed to us in the rose and then in the NCG. Again, would never root for them to win it bc if this SEC BS but being in a BCS bowl would certainly help our recruiting more than playing in the chick Fil a bowl
