If Chandler was on Bayern's bench, he'd have a better chance of getting called up. Loew is incredibly stubborn with players not from Bayern. It took him forever to put Reus in the starting lineup but he had no problem making Kroos and Muller permanent fixtures.

He'd rather play Jerome Boateng at lb/rb than Chandler or Johnson. It's part of the reason why so many Germans are getting tired of him. Hell, he was reluctant to put Mats Hummels into the team until right before the Euros.

He mostly just ignores defense anyway

Since Johnson and Chandler have both played primarily LB for the US, who do yall think stays there and who takes the RB spot when Dolo is not there?

I really do believe that managing an international team should be done in cycles. It seems inevitable that there will be problems with guys who stay for multiple World Cups.
