definitely derptarded, but i honestly think they will regret letting fab go more. chandler is only 22 though, i think people forget this. he was/is a child trying to make MAJOR decisions about his future, he followed the money and stayed loyal to his club and not the country he wasnt born in. i dont know why people are freaking out. i'll admit i was mad at first, then i took a step back from the keyboard and thought about it from his perspective.

If Chandler was on Bayern's bench, he'd have a better chance of getting called up. Loew is incredibly stubborn with players not from Bayern. It took him forever to put Reus in the starting lineup but he had no problem making Kroos and Muller permanent fixtures.
He'd rather play Jerome Boateng at lb/rb than Chandler or Johnson. It's part of the reason why so many Germans are getting tired of him. Hell, he was reluctant to put Mats Hummels into the team until right before the Euros.
He mostly just ignores defense anyway

Since Johnson and Chandler have both played primarily LB for the US, who do yall think stays there and who takes the RB spot when Dolo is not there?

I really do believe that managing an international team should be done in cycles. It seems inevitable that there will be problems with guys who stay for multiple World Cups.

Chandler is a right back. Johnson is a left back. There's no controversy there.

Like HH said, Chandler played RB for us. He also played right winger for awhile against Paraguay (I think).
Having two in-their-prime Bundesliga fullbacks (that can both play winger if needed) for the next 2 WC cycles would be kind of a big deal for us.

I liked Chandler at right wing. I would like to see that experiment again.

My bad. I thought I remembered Chandler playing some LB for us as well

He has played LB in a pinch, you are right. His position is RB however. As someone else mentioned he can/has also played some right wing. He will be very valuable to us in the future. Klinsi isn't just following him around like a puppy dog for no reason. I'll be very pleased when he steps onto the pitch at the Azteca and everyone is singing his praises.
