re: Chandler says he is "in, 1000%"

Even though the Arse is struggling right now, I wouldn't say that they are the 10th best team in the EPL. I give them a bit more credit than that.

Yeah, I mean technically you can't give 110% because I'm pretty sure you'd be dead.

A fair point considering that 1000% is an impossibility.

To me its as dishonest as someone that says "I'm going to be honest with you".

re: Chandler says he is "in, 1000%"

Have you watched Nurenburg play this season? It's hard for you to make such a definitive assertion when you're comparing players you see every week to a player you haven't watched since the last time he was capped for the U.S.

I'm not saying he's better than the 3 you listed or that he's anywhere near the top-10 right now. Also, don't take the fact that Loew hasn't called him in as any indication of his talent level. Jogi has been ripped to shreds for his stubborness in regards to defense. He's either too hard-headed or too lazy to go out and find a fullback not named Philipp Lahm. He would just rather stick a center back out there and see how it goes.

I'm 100% confident that both Chandler and Fabian Johnson are good enough to play a lot of games for Germany.

Let's say Chandler had the option of playing for a rival European team rather than the USA. Do you think Germany would have already cup tied him so he wouldn't go to a legit competitor?

What difference does any of that make?

Do y'all remember how excited we were to have him in those friendlies in early 2011? I do, b/c at 21 and getting his first minutes on the team, he was one of the best players on the field for us against Argentina and Paraguay.
I'm glad that Germany hasn't called him up for whatever reason. If he does turn out to be a world-class RB (there's no reason to believe he won't be the cream of the USA pool at RB), I hope that the rest of the world realizes it while he's wearing a USA shirt in Brazil.

If he was Turkish? I don't know. Austrian or Dutch, probably. I think most of it is due to Jogi being lazy

I understand that cementing Chandler in the US talent pool is a definite plus. I was trying to gain some perspective on how Germany rate Chandler.

FTFY

He's not Dani Alves or Phillipp Lahm.

We'd be VERY fortunate if he ends up being Steve Cherundolo.

Imma just message you whenever I want to make an argument relative to the US team, it's like you're saying what I'm trying to say.. but correctly.

yeah, im gonna have to disagree with that. not knocking dolo, but chandler is talented. he's one of the most consistent RB's in the bundesliga. but none of you watch it, so i wouldnt expect anyone to know that.

Can people who watch the Bundesliga tell us an honest assessment of Chandler relative to A. others who play his position in the league and B. relative to his teammates at Nurnberg? That team is pretty bad.

re: Chandler says he is "in, 1000%"

Chandler, at the age of 22, is one of the most consistent right backs in the Bundesliga. He's not surrounded by very much talent but if Nurnberg was to go down, he's going to get scooped by a bigger club looking for a fullback.

The best right back in the Bundesliga is Philipp Lahm. Lukasz Piszczek is probably the second best. Atsuto Uchida is up there, Cherundolo has been there for a while but he's getting old now.

Trying to think of right backs who may be better than him but I'm not coming up with any other dominant fullbacks to list.

Anyway. I named the best right backs in the Bundesliga. 1 German, 1 Japanese, 1 Pole. Jogi Loew is making a mistake by not capping Timmy Chandler. His loss is our gain, let's not take it for granted.

re: Chandler says he is "in, 1000%"

He has started all eleven matches this season for Der Club, scoring one goal and notching one assist. hes has played a total of 970 minutes in league matches this season, trailing only teammates Timmy Simons and Timm Klose in minutes played. Statistically, Chandler has completed 69.6% of his passing attempts and 58.7% of his tackles while winning 61.3% of his challenges and has created 14 scoring chances. their team has struggled to stay above the relegation zone this year, but historically they are a mid table club. I honestly couldnt give you a break down of the best rb/lb's in the BuLi, mainly because I find it arbitrary to do so. Although, off the top of my head i'd say that Lahm, Pizchek, and Uchida (no dolo, sorry sheep) He's very consistent, his minutes played prove he's rather indispensable at the moment for his club. People arent realizing that he literally JUST broke into his club side when he got his first USMNT call up. The club didnt want him to participate in international duty (smaller club, not many of their guys are internationals) so he did what any 21 year old german born person who just got a starting role in his club would do.

The Germans came out and said, "We are not interested in Chandler, you can have him." Sounds pretty derptarded if you ask me. He's an obvious talent.
