Anyone else notice that Charles Brown had a good game?

Dude held up much better than I thought he would.

Also, Sed Ellis had a sack that was negated by a holding penalty.

When our whipping boys step up, this team is unstoppable.

Yeah he did. Much better than i expected him to.

And that scrub Olsen got popped a few times and had a bone head penalty.

ETA: Our Dline stepped up big in that game. We didnt get the pressure i was hoping for, but when it really counted our D impressed the hell out of me. We have had some badass goalline stands this year. I couldnt stop laughing at all the "should we let them score" threads.

Yes props to him. When your name doesn't get called that's a good game for an Olineman

Didn't hear is name called once. To be honest I forgot he was in there.
No better compliment for a o-lineman.

I forgot he was there until I saw him on a replay in the third or fourth quarter and I was like, "that's right, that dude started today."

I was hoping someone would catch the reference.

I kind of noticed. More so because I heard he was starting and I didn't see anything wrong with the line. They played well as they have been of late.

Yeah he played real good, didnt allow pressure on Brees and all the big run gains came on his side of the line.

everytime I focused on him he was doing his job! Good sign for the future. Him being able to step in if they wanna let Bushrod walk is a HUGE personnel/cap factor. I haven't seen enough for me to know if he is there but the reps might be enough for the staff to evaluate. Remember Bushrod had almost no regular season snaps before stepping into the LT spot.

I was really worried last week going into the game, but he played much better than I expected. Especially after he did poorly in the Philly game.

I want to see him play well a few more games before letting Bushrod walk though. Hopefully he turns the corner.

As for Ellis. Let him walk. Playing like he is in a contract year? Let him walk.

me too but as said, they might be seeinng a lot more than we are as to how ready he is. But tthat's why I noted Bushrod. He was on the roster, appeared in only 3 games and started 0 in two seasons before stepping into the LT slot.

I tried to keep remembering to notice him, but I didn't. So I guess that's a good thing. Brees seemed like he had plenty of time on most throws

He could be more suited for RT. Damn sure played like it. Wish Loomis could wrap up Bushrod and Grambo during this season.

Props to the whole O-line, especially Brown. Minus a few plays here and there, they seem to have really been playing better with Kromer sticking to just O-line duties.

Charles Brown
Didn't remember hearing his name on tv yesterday so that means he did his job.

It didn't occur to me until after halftime that Streif was out. Brown filled the "next man up" role very nicely...he certainly looked better than he did against Phily. I'm guessing he was practicing a bit harder this week knowing he had to start. Well done Mr. Brown

Amazing what a difference you see in having Kromer back focusing on coaching the line. Brown was prepared and contributed.

I think he may be better suited for RT too.
