That timeline explains some things, like WHAT THE frick THE DIDACT WAS. If you hadn't read all the terminals in Halo 3 then you were clueless as to what he was (other than Voldemorts relative).

It is amusing how they start throwing around the term didact without batting an eye.
I don't read any of the novels or other supplementary shite, so I was slightly confused for a while.

I was confused most of the story because I didn't know who or how the Didact was/fit into the story.
