I enjoyed the A&M victory more than the LSU victory last night. I watched both games to the end but was thrilled with the result of the earlier game. Geaux Aggies! Geaux Tigers! Ala. reign of football terror is nearing its ugly end and LSU's is just beginning ..... That's why!

My thing is, I've always found trash talking on another team's behalf was pretty lame. But hey, I guess I'm in the minority.

No. We were equally winded from a game with SCar.

I guess you could give Moo St. a small credit for aTm beating Bama by not taking aTm down to the wire, but I doubt they'd appreciate the sentiment.

Hey, before I actually became an LSU fan growing up, I was rooting for Alabama and Auburn to always lose.

Man, what the hell is the point of watching college football if you aren't actively rooting against rivals?

Did I say that I wasn't rooting against them?

People construe this out of context. My main point was the gloating to the Bama fans like we had won the game ourselves.

I never said I wanted Bama to win.

No, you did not. But the overwhelming tone of your message is one of a BAMA apologist and that, sir, is unacceptable.

Bama lost. A&M won. It was a hell of a college football game. Bama is still going to be in front of us in the rankings and still going to go to the SECCG (barring a miracle against Auburn). The win is nothing more than a "moral victory."

Sorry that I see things in a logical way.. but that carries pro-Bama overtones I guess.

And I am not trying to flame you, but I am just trying to put things in perspective to people. I understand that this fan base is very emotionally against Alabama, mainly due to the past few years, especially the last 12 months, but in all honesty, acting like we won a game, which we did not even play in just kind of behooves me.

I think it was more laughing than boasting. You know they laughed at our Florida loss. All in good fun. If anyone can't take it, stay off the rant.

No flame taken.

That's not what "behooves" means.

You are mistakenly interpreting our joy as somehow claiming victory.

so, Bama has played tw quality opponents, LSU (barely beat in the final seconds), and aTm. Michigan? meh. MissState? We saw last night that they are very beatable.

I'm not impressed with Bama. Certainly they are not better than LSU.
If we played them week in and week out for 12 games, we'd each win about 1/2

Brewhan, I can appreciate what you are trying to say and of course it makes sense but my gloating comes from the fact that Im probably alot older than most of the posters having graduated from LSU in 1983 and my hatred for Bama goes way back to when the Bear was coaching. My lord we never could beat them and finally sitting in the upper deck of Legion Field right behind some Bama fans when Bama tried their little shuffle pass and Bill Elko, Leonard Marshall and Ramsey Dardar ate the QB and the halfback up. Finally i was able to yell "Not today Bama." Final score 20-10 LSU finally beating the Bear. Probably a good many LSU fans ' dislike of Bama dates way back.

The main reason I relish watching Bama lose is because whether its conscious or not...the refs do give them an advantage. It's absurdly obvious and downright disgusting.

It's funny how Sabans LSU teams were not even close to being as "disciplined" as his Bama teams. His LSU teams were never one of the least penalized teams. I guess it must be the air in Tuscaloosa that makes his players not commit penalties...especially holding

But im actually more mad now. Cus we should have beat them. But when my friends are saying reauxl tide to me, then go down 21-0. I will point and laugh. Cus not a single one sent me anything back. They are hurting more than we were, trust me.

I go to school with several of them, and yes, I agree.

Don't get me wrong, this loss is just what they needed to bring them back down to earth.
