review your pregame thoughts...
-win CHECK
-Charles Brown playing well. His performance while Streif is out will be huge in evaluating him going forward. Bushrod is UFA again. CHECK PLAYED WELL
-Colston score 2 TDs for most evah in Saints history. The quiet guy needs to get more celebrated. CHECK scoring one he gets to get praised more than once
-half the performance of last week and we can get even more excited about Cameron Jordan's development. CHECK another solid performance, wanna see a gif of his helmetless pursuit & tackle
-Vilma, Lofton, and Hawhtorne on the field together? If they gel and get tight it could be the biggest turnaround factor for the D CHECK will have to see the numbers on how much they played together. Altogether though I can still call progress! at the LB position
-less whiffs on tackles, wrapping up instead of arm tackles and lunges CHECK still some but not as many embarrassing ones
-Vitt's comments on the run game this week lead to much hope of that continuing to build momentum DOUBLE CHECK gotta wow, looks like a completely different run game since Vitt's return. Then, how much could the OL have been missing out with Kromer in the HC slot?

I said in the prediction thread that I really thought the defense had turned a corner and expected a big game. While the yards are still there, they are playing very well with a short field. (That second TD to Gonzales notwithstanding. Theres a reason that guy is going to be in Canton.)The run defense is much, much improved.
If Spags can make something of this crew and get them to buy in, and we can pick up at least one top pass rusher in the offseason, with a Coach Payton back who's had all season to stew and scheme, the rest of the league should be very worried about the Saints next year.

I think they missed him a lot. Strief said on WWL that he saw a lot of "technique" mistakes in his KC performance. There really isn't much of an excuse for a game full of technique mistakes at that point of his career with as many years as he's been with the team. That really said to me that the OLine was missing a full time, undistracted Kromer.
