Yes, I did a similar trade for Sjax and thrilled. Depends who your D was before, though. I had a horrible D.

In my league, Sjax gets an average of 6 points. Has scored 1 TD all year.
Plays San Fran two times, Arizona, Buffalo, Minnesota, and Tampa Bay. Didn't see too much light at the end of that dark tunnel.

Who is your other TE? Will that other tight end be more productive than Gates or San Fran D? If not then I wouldn't do it. Can't you go pick up the d that's playing a shitty team each week? Who is your D now?

Sorry for the delay in posting. I have declined the trade as I just picked up the Broncos on wavers. Jared Cook is my backup TE, but is not on the level of Gates although they have scored the same amount of points so far. Backup D is the Packers so I am straight. Thanks for the replies.

No. The SF defense will not get you many points at all.

Not a shot. The Bears are the only defense I'd consider actually trading for and that says a lot for me.
