A police officer flashing his lights and this incident are two completely different circumstances, it's like comparing apples to oranges. In this situation the police officer would have to inform me of why he was requesting me to leave the field, and the law in which I was breaking.

It's an example. Here's another that happens all the time. Teenagers shopping at the mall. Police officer asks them to leave (suspicious looking). They refuse because they aren't "doing anything wrong." What happens next? Police officer asks again and if they continue to resist they are escorted off the premises.

Bottom line, if Tut's goal was to get along, play nice, and not have anyone be mad at him, he would have left the field when the cop asked him to.

But if his goal was to protect his team's pregame routine to the best of his ability within the LHSAA rules, then he would have done exactly what he did.
