re: Who here plays an instrument ?

Violin since i was 9 and the Piano since i was 11. I can play the cello as well but i'm not very good at it. I can play the viola just as well as the violin. I was a good enough violinist to be in the arkansas youth sympthomy but once i found jazz i pretty much gave up the violin.


I'm a pretty good piano player. I can still play the violin and do but I am a much better piano player nowadays, jazz mostly though a little something of everything.

I had a much more formal violin education than piano and i can read violin sheet music like i am reading this message board, but i'm 100% self taught on the piano and can't read sheet music to save my life. however, i'm 10x the piano player than i am the violin player, i play 100% by ear. I have extremely good pitch.
