Go look at film from the 40's, you'll be surprised.

Yeah, we're led to believe that all they did back then was line up in Power I and go through the 4 and 3 holes with the occasional toss sweep and button hook... They used to be pretty creative with some misdirection and single wing stuff.

im partial, but i really enjoy the texans'. gashing running game, nasty bootlegs, waggles, and play action, great creativity and scheme by kubiak-- fun to watch and very effective, especially for a pro offense...

This. Some of the things you see now at Oregon and Auburn with Malzan or Florida with Meyer is just Wing T counters, bellys, powers, and all sorts of traditional plays run from unorthodox formations or at a no-huddle pace. Sure guys like Kelly, Malzahn, Meyer, etc have added in some new wrinkles but the cores of these offenses are decades old.

For me this year I'll go with:

1. Oregon
2. Clemson
3. Kansas State (they don't get enough credit)
4. Indiana
5. Ohio State (also don't get the credit because of probation)
6. La Tech
