It's not the length of cord from the controller to the headset that he's talking about. This isn't a wireless set, so it's the cord running from his xbox to the headset that's the problem. Too short and he has to sit really close to his TV.

I'm new to these types of headsets, so I'm about to sound really dumb. Do they not plug right in to the controller?
