They beat us in our stadium in one of the most amped up environments ever when we played our best game of the year, by far. Why do you think they are scared to play us again?

I wouldn't go as far as to say scared - but they definitely know that it is going to be a tossup based on which team has the hotter hand/luck on that day.

LSU beat Bama last year but all that you could hear from the media/bamatards/rest were that it was a statistical victory in theory but that Bama was better and that LSU would be beaten the second time around.

It could be that Miles was not totally confident that he didn't need tricks and made some bad decisions in hindsight.

Well this time, IF ( and I am pretty sure there won't be a second this year) there is a second game, Miles will not be playing tricks and instead KNOWS that this team can beat them upfront.

A victory is not assured (between two good teams) but won't be a surprise.
