Depends on were you are going. If you plan on fishing stump lagoon, you better go with someone that knows the area.

Yea but I couldn't point out where. There's a lot of shallow areas around there. Also beware of stump lagoon.

Kind of hard to explain where the structure is, but the stuff I know about is above ground and you should be able to see it. Now there are tons of shallow water spots, just don't come off a plane.

There are some old weirs, but you should be able to see them if there is anything left to them.

Yes--sunken weir about 3 miles up Bayou Biloxi on the Bayou to the right. The Bayou right before the camp in Bayou Biloxi. Also be very careful as a huge gas bubbles have recently been popping up in the marsh. Last week an underwater bubble exploded from underneath the water column across almost the entire entrance to Bayou Biloxi on the first right hand turn. Had to have been 150 ft by 100 ft gas bubble that went up in the air about 6-8 feet. We got out of there shortly thereafter worried about what was coming out of the bubble explosion. The water became chocolate mud at the entrance. We called the La. DNR to report it but we got the run around and hung up after 20 minutes.

Didn't do the lighter test to see if it was flammable gas?

We got the hell out of there. We were looking at each other on the boat like Bayou Corne was taking place and we were about to be swallowed up by a breached salt dome. Craziest thing any of us have ever seen.
