If you like to travel or will be traveling for work, it might be worth it to get one with your favorite company, such as Delta or Southwest.
I have really liked my Southwest Visa and my Hilton American Express.

I have AMEX Blue Preferred. 6% cash back on groceries, 3% on gas/department store. We take several vacations a year but I am not loyal to any type of hotel brand or airline so that wasn't important to me.
