I have lived In California for the last 23 years but lived in Louisiana for the first 24. Been a cop for 23 and can tell you first hand that very few just stop at marijuana. I realize that college kids make bad choices and they are never put on ESPN unless you are an athlete. I also realize that this kid lost a free education, potential riches and the respect of a lot of people who were willing to give a second chance. You raise your kids the way you want but explaining to my son not once but twice that his favorite player just fricked up again has to be a lesson for him. If not he will definitely make the same mistakes. It's called parental love. When you have one of your own you will understand how difficult it is to explain this to you son or daughter.

Basically, if I don't have a kid I can't understand so I should stop voicing my opinion?

If TM were in California and this same thing happened, what type of citation would he receive? Would he have received one at all in all honesty?

Dick cops
Great way to throw the blame on the cops and not a dumb arse who can't stay out of trouble even if it cost him a fortune. In California he would have been booked in and the follow up investigation would hinge on the statements of the 4 people involved. With Bryant having the 7 bags it is evident on what I have read, he was dropping off (selling) dope. Possession for Sales is a Felony, the others are Misdemeanors. A misdemeanor may have cost him millions or at a minimum his free college education at LSU. And yes if you don't have kids you have no idea what the frick you are talking about. Kids change everything.

if stuff like that worked long term, nobody would drink or do drugs. when he's in college, he's going to want to get fricked up after a long week of studying, maybe not, but most likely.
