do you like our chances?

I do. I think we win by 7-10 points. This may change after watching the game this weekend.

It would change nothing. MSU is a solid team this year.

What happens one week has very little to do with the next week. If Alabama beats State by 90, or if Alabama loses to State by 10, it won't affect next week's outcome at all or change my opinion about what might happen.

Isn't our D MUCH better. and MSU hasn't played anyone yet...so we don't know how solid of a team they really are.

Then I'd also be more worried about the MSU game

solid doesn't mean they are great.

solid means they've beaten all the teams they've faced thus far and haven't looked too bad doing so.

I like our chances either way. MSU outcome will not effect that.

It really doesnt matter what bama wins by. Doesnt have anything to do with our game. We beat SC by 2 and Florida blew them out. Yet we barely lose to Fl.

And by the way. I love our chances at home even if bama beats Miss St by 24

I think you should be pulling for Alabama to walk Miss St.

LSU would be best served for Alabama to remain untested and come into the Nov. game invincible, having yet to see any adversity.

Finally face a team that can challenge the point of attack, and who knows what might happen. Big play, early deficit, turnovers. Hell, McCarron hasn't been out there in something like this before. The BCSNCG was a neutral field.

In all fairness, he played in the swamp at night last year. UF threw an 80 yard touchdown pass on the first play from scrimmage. You think gainesville wasn't rocking?

I have confidence right now as well...i was asking would it improve your confidence? I also agree I want them to stay unbeaten ...that would help LSU out more in the polls. I posted a thread about how I could see SEC teams ending up 1,2,3 at the end of the season....Bama can only lose to us for that to happen.

Meh... You really cant judge by that, too many factors could influence it. Besides, LSU vs Bama is a rivalry, and we have them at home, at night, so all the normal protocals are out the window. I love our chances, we just need Mett to hit a couple passes and Wing to pin them deep a couple times.

If Bama beats MSU by 50 I like our chances. How they play this weekend has zero to do with how I think we will play against them next weekend.

Definitely bodes well for him. He was nothing short of perfect in the BCSNCG.

And, he was brittle and rattled in Tuscaloosa. So much so after Claiborne's pick, that Saban would rather have his WR throw in the red zone.

So, I guess we'll find out where he's at next Saturday.

I don't think he will collapse under the pressure of Death Valley. But I do think it will rattle him a little.

Before anyone misunderstands me...I have confidence no matter what happens in the game Sat. I just was curious if I was the only one. Seems a lot of negativity is on this board this week.

Unless there are significant injuries to Bama, it shouldn't effect our score at all. Teams don't play at a constant level every week.
