The talent at both schools is equal. It all comes down to home field advantage and turnovers

This, I know Bama will probably win, therefore I'm not nervous. This is because I don't let a football team delusionalize my life by naming my kids Allie-Bama and Bear, showing up 4 days early and camping out for fan day, or committing domestic terrorism when a rival beats me

MY TAKE
I think McCarron is definitely in control and does exactly what Nick wants him to do - that's the biggest difference from last year

I know Yeldon is good but I don't think he's anywhere close to Trent from last year

I think the defense was far more dominant last year with guys like Upshaw, Barron and Hightower.
But again, it's Nick's defense and the key for LSU is to put themselves in favorable 3rd down distances and not be so predictable on offense.

Defensively, I think LSU's LB play has improved a ton since last year. I still don't think LSU has been tested with a very strong passing game as of yet. LSU did shut down Keith Price and their TE but their WR's are pitiful. USC, Fla and A&M had dual threat QB's as opposed to traditional passing attacks. Amari Cooper is the guy LSU needs to take out of the equation and that will definitely be a matchup to watch as well as the TE passes which killed LSU in Jan. I don't think Bama has any problem with LSU wr's - they will shut them down.

Praying for a physical MSU game this weekend!
