2013 Championship Reserves

Anyone buying again? I purchased at $50 before A&M....I've made money every year I've bought some and got to see LSU play, and I know several on here have made some nice money...I thought about buying Florida too but I think I will lay low this year

Man, I remember the good old ticket reserve days when the market was wild. Remember when we thought we were gonna play Oregon in 2007. So, us genius tiger fans decided to buy the Oregon reserves up, then went to their message boards, and drove up the prices.
Personally, I think the preset buy ins are high now. But the real problem is the venue. Someone pointed out to me that the Orange Bowl is a bad venue for the ticket game. I got stuck with 10 that year and had to buy. Lost money.

Yep, Orange Bowl is horrible. I sold two to OU-Florida the last game for $800.

And that was with an in-state school participating.

2007 has bad memories. I kick myself everytime I think about it for not buying as many $5-20 lsu reserves as I could.

Nah, not this year.

Played twice. 2007--played LSU and Oklahoma.
2011--played LSU.

Did OK.

Doubt I'll do it again, though.

Good luck!

If Dixon doesn't break his damn leg in 2007, between me and my buddies, we would have had over 200 Oregon forwards. Would have made a fortune

I had Texas reserves that year. The market went crazy during the UT-Texas Tech game. Texas took the lead with a few minutes left and reserves I bought for $50 each were selling for $350+ each, I waited hoping for a Texas win and even higher prices, then that damn Michael Crabtree happened. Lost a ton of potential money.

But I guess in hindsight, if Dixon doesn't break leg, Tigahs don't get in w 2 losses

I had almost forgotten how much I lost on that one. Damn freshman linebacker for Texas dropped what would have been game ending interception one or 2 plays before Crabtree TD. Again, lost a fortune

Had the board covered. Penn St blows their chance by losing to Iowa. What a year. Got caught holdin a bunch of reserves and a bunch of real estate. I'm lucky I didn't end up in bankruptcy that year.

I got in and out early. Bought in for USC when the rumors that Barkley was coming back started. Prices spiked right after he officially announced. Sold them.

If we make it, I hear tickets are easy to come by down there

Yep. Orange bowl venue dictates low prices. Don't understand why, but tis the reality.

I made 2 accounts. Bought 12 LSU reserves cheap day they came out. Sold 10 at 225-250 each. Also bought 6 Usc's cheap & sold all 6 for 200.

Bought Wisconsin, Georgia, & Michigan cheap. Lost on those but overall still a nice profit plus 2 LSU reserves left just in case.

HAHA Mississippi State, # 11 in the country, undefeated, $10 reserves. No faith. eta - I am not that much of a gambler either.

I had LSU in 2007 and 2011.....last year also had 4 Oklahoma St. reserves that I purchased right after they lost at a fairly low cost. I unloaded 2 after the SEC championship game for a pretty big profit, and held on to the other 2 just in case and crapped out on those.

I thought about buying LSU this year, but figured since I got tickets last year to the championship game through my season tickets, I should be able to get them this year as well if they go.

Ticket Reserve has been great to me. Bought 2 for $5 each after the Arkansas loss in 2007 so my brother and I were able to go to the game. Me and several friends bought 4-5 beginning of last year and sold the extras at their peak in late November. I ended up getting a check in the mail for 5 grand. Made about an $800 net gain after splitting it all up and that was after the price of the ticket.

The Orange Bowl market opened last December and I bought 4 at $90 each back then. I've been sitting on them. It's all or nothing at this point.
