Here the thing in my mind. After the debacle of the 2008 season, Miles went and got Chavis who has proven to be great at teaching and X's and O's on defense. After witnessing 1-9 he sticks with status quoe thinking in he and who he has around know enough offense to duplicate 2011. He does not have the special knack for play calling and finding mismatches it takes to consistently beat better defenses. Mett is not that bad and neither or the 4* and 5* players starting skill players LSU has on the field. The offense they are running is. U can't really change it once the season starts so you have what we see on the field. Sure they can execute better and other than Mett being way off the last two weeks they have, but if recievers can't get open in two weeks what do you think will happen. That won't be becuase of execution it will by poor design.

So when receivers cant get open against lsu and bama its poor by design or only when our receivers cant get open? Help me out cus you make no sense. Has nothing to do with players? So every coach that plays against lsu ust suck at offense. The only time people get yards in the air is if they throw it 50+ times.

Some good points. Why has CLM not done better with his offensive personnel? Everyone should be asking that, even the real football purists who populate this board day and night. They have tried to go vertical, but more often than not ZM misses, the receiver drops or is not open. As some one said earlier, they have got to get much better QB play.
