Mettenberger was 11/29 with 97 passing yards and 1 touchdown. 0 interceptions and 0 fumbles. That is the key no turnovers and a victory. It may not be heisman numbers but he got the victory. Obivously he will have to improve more against Bama but at least he is improving.

No he isn't. Pocket awareness is horrible and Alabama will kill him if he doesn't improve in 2 weeks.

I wish that he was more mobile. He was able to get away from one A&M defender and toss the ball away to avoid the sack.

He hasn't yet panicked and just put the ball up for grabs. Yesterday he was definitely throwing so that only the LSU receivers had a chance for the ball...even though it lowered the chance for completions.

Generally he has made good decisions...on the play where he got the penalty for crossing the line of scrimmage he should have tucked and run and slid.

I do believe that mett along with our offense and add a little hot spice defense we can go to the promised LAND.

I think he had a little more time to throw yesterday, so he looked better. Threw the ball away instead of forcing it, so that's better. Other than that still the same quarterback

no. he moves like a snail in the pocket. Bama will blitz the ever living frick out of him. He might not last the game I hate to say.

I have faith in Mett. I think he is showing signs of progress with decision making, but needs to improve pocket awareness and step into his throws more instead of leaning back and trying to place the ball. He looks like he's expecting to get hit on every play so he leans back and braces for a hit. If he can move in the pocket to passing lanes and shift his weight forward on his releases he will surprise people. He's got a great arm and throws a nice spiral, but his footwork needs a lot of coaching over the next 2 weeks... let's hope that Krags is coaching him up.

That long pass he threw to OBJ in the 4th where the DB held OBJ's arm down for the pass interfernce penalty was a beautiful pass. It was perfect and would have been a TD.

Wow, you are really a GLASS HALF FULL sort of viewer.

Yes, Mett is improving in the turn-over department. Against Alabama, he needs to continue this no turn-over trend.

But the guy can't pass or run. Would be nice to see some improvement there.

If he can put some touch on his passes he would be a way better. He had some open guys he just overthrew.

What's funny is he completes his first few in every game and then goes 0 for his next 11.

Also, it would be nice if he could run just a little. JJ was good for a 10 yard run a couple of times a game.

not really. I think experience has made a bit more aware of what's going on around him, but his accuracy has been way off. hopefully a couple weeks of practice fix that.
