Why the hell are we running a hurry up offense w/ 5 minutes to go up 5 points? We could have easily milked 2 minutes off the clock during that drive. Instead we rushed to the line & left 20-30 seconds on the play clock for 3-4 snaps. Terrible game management by Mett & pretty shitty of our coaches not to remind him to take as much time as we could.

I have no fricking clue why we were in hurry up with that big of a lead in the 4th Quarter. That one boggles the mind.

They felt like they had the defense reeling and were trying to go for the knockout, essentially a big breaking run.

I know it's pretty shitty of me to be bitching about this, considering we scored a TD on the drive & won the game, but there's no reason JFF should have even got the football back for that last attempt. Game shoulda been over if we play smart football.

ETA: I think we settled for a FG on the drive I'm talking about

That's on the coaches, not Mett. They thought the hurry up would allow LSU to pop 6-7 yard gains at a time.

Ok a big breaking run, but we were throwing the damn ball.

Honestly, I don't give our coaches that much credit. I feel like we were just clueless about time/situation.

Just like at the end of the 3Q. We were up, we didn't have to run that 3rd down play. But we snap the ball w/ 1 second on the clock with the clock running. We should have taken it to the 4th, run 3rd down the 1st play of the 4th quarter, run another 30-40 seconds off the clock & punted. Small things like this matter.

9 in the box plus corners 10 yards off = 6 yard hitch route every time. They took it and were successful on the drive.

They had to throw it downfield once the holding call took place and it was 1st and 20.

Personally, I would have liked to see some screens to the backs. Really surprised we didn't see any of that today.

End of 3rd qtr 30 mph wind at our back and we have poor field position, we let the qtr expire on 3rd down and now we have to punt into the wind, losing 25/30 yards of field position. Dumb.

I agree in regards to the bizarre end to the 3rd, it made absolutely no sense for us to have to kick into the wind. ThI'll have to rewatch the game, but there were several points in the game where the series of plays just made little to no sense.

Another example that just came to me was the bizarre series of calls prior to 50+ yd field goal.

Miles has shown a complete lack of ability to manage the clock and has no situational awareness when it concerns the clock.

This is nothing new. And he is never going to get better.

The onsides kick should have been the last play of the game.

Did we not run the 3rd down play w/ 1 second on the clock & punt the 1st play of the 4th? Wind would have switched either way, but my point is we coulda just takin it to 4 after 2nd down. Any idiot who looks @ the play clock vs the game clock coulda seen that.
