What if it was your kid? I played ball so i know sometimes the coach needs to get in your face tho. And if i had a problem with it i doubt i would press charges over that little shove. Proll just confront the coach about it.
If it was my kid, I'd want to know the situation. Then, I'd confront the coach about it and the school if the situation didn't call for it.
I certainly wouldn't get an attorney and try to get rich off of it and press criminal charges. I wouldn't have my son fake a vagina injury from the slight shove either.

Yeah i agree. I would find out the situation before anything. In this case the kid and his parents seem to be great people of character.

If that was my kid, I'd tell him to play better

how the hell did he get hurt by that? dude just popped right back up like it was nothing.
If THAT hurt him getting hit in a live game would have killed the kid.
as for the "what if it was my kid" question, my coach overheard me making fun of a teammate for getting knocked down during a hitting drill with pads. He had shite form so the coach was able to knock him down when he went in.
I made the mistake of saying "You got your arse kicked by an old man." Coach hears it, shouts out "OLD MAN???" throws the pad down and says for me to come tackle him.
My cocky arse was challenged so I lined up and went at him even though I thought he was crazy to do it without any protection. He got low, exploded through as we met and put me on my butt hard enough that my tailbone hurt for days.
Now our encounter was a little different than this guy shoving the kid but I feel that was much more of an "attack" than getting shoved and falling over b/c his sole intention was to put me into the dirt and shame me for disrespecting a coach.
But did I cry to mommmy and get a lawyer involved? Hell no. I learned from it and moved on.
So had it been my kid I'd tell him to man up and learn how to take a shove b/c he is a friggin football player. Its not like he got punched or degraded. He pissed his coach off, probably smarted off when he came to yell at him, got shoved, and lost his balance. To bring cops into this is pathetic.

Agreed 100%.
WHy aren't cops involved whenever the players push each other on the field and get a personal foul penalty?

I'm not a fan of a coach pushing like that, but I've seen saban smack the frick out of his players asses and i've seen facemask grabbing by many coaches that is much worse than that.
Yeah, not sure some of these people would survive the "good ole days." Even HS coaches used to get physical to motivate a player.
It's probably unnecessary but isn't a big deal.

After watching the video I don't think it's bad at all.

What a fricking pussy. I guess he realizes he's not doing shite after college, so might as well do it the American way and get his piece of shite family some cash.

First thing that stuck out to me in that video was the double polo. That tells me all I need to know about that kid. DoucheBag. Also, that was one of the weakest shoves and flops i've ever seen. That guy definitely wouldn't have made it through the community college I went too

He's in pads and he says he got hurt from being shoved? If that's the case, then he should be thanking the coach for making him realize football isn't for him before he gets killed in an actual game.
I'm disappointed OTL even wasted their time with this story.

I don't get it.
It's football, he's wearing pads on the field and he's not 8 years old.
Coaches used to slap us on the head, grab our jerseys and yank us around.
I guess his feelings are hurt and this complaint is all because he felt embarrassed.
"I didn't do nothing to provoke him."
Maybe you were doing something wrong on the field?

when I was playing we had at least 1 player/coach fight a year.
one was with Phil Bennett and the other with Coach hallman
